Hi guys

I just brought my PS3 160GB with 3.4x frimware today in at reliance digital, mt.road, chennai.I installed 3.55 kmeaw cfw and file manger and other stuff...Now i want to know whether usb joystick works with ps3 or not if works can we use usb hub since only 2 usb ports available in ps3 to play 6 player games like RAW vs Smackdown?

Another doubt....I downloaded International cricket 2011 and FTP'ed it to internal HD /GAMEZ/BLES00921/ folder structure but when i load the game it shows up blank screen.....I didnt have any original PS3 games disk in the drive is that the cause or am i doing something wrong in here
 
Yes I think u lll need a BR Disc in drive for most games..

And I think all DS3 controllers are wireless so u dont have to worry about less number of usb ports ..If u wanna charge em all together then u might have to get a seperate charger..
 
Have you installed BDEMU.pkg? Like ram mentioned, a disc inside the blu-ray drive is recommended for a majority of the titles out there.

Besides not all USB controllers work with the PS3. Check the packaging for compatibility. Not to mention, none of the 3rd party USB controllers will have the six-axis motion sensing system.
 
^Wasn't that limited to the unlicensed/counterfeit ones? Do all the devices get disabled?
 
Now installed bdemu.pkg back up games working fine :) also brought usb controllers which also works in ps3.My only doubt is if we use usb hub and use 3 or more usb joysticks will they get recognized.

Certain USB hubs are compatible with the console. I have used a Belkin 4-port USB hub and it worked just fine. I do not however have it now so cannot confirm if it still works after the 3.50 f/w. USB hubs are inexpensive anyway. Buy one and find out if they work. :P

Aren't the ps3 controllers wireless ? :S

Very very lucky! I think Dhruv once ended with a non-functional DS3. Not sure if he got it replaced though.
