What versions of ps3 can be jailbroken?
How do i know what version i m getting without opening the box?
Pls hlp i m buying 1 early

1. 3.41 or lower. Newer firmwares can be downgraded in near future.

2. Nope.

if your ps3 has post 3.41 ,firmware downgrade is possible with the new ps downgrade which is a software mod/unlock for the exising PS JB. You need to buy the original PS JB + downgrade, costing about ~140USD. But it has already been leaked for reverse engineering to use with the "free" version of ps jb. Expect it in the near future.
 
^^Is it?? There is a biiggggg thread on PS3 Jailbreak...please go and catch hold of them...Plus ppl are selling PS3 JB here in market...

Just bought Move Bundle on 22/11/2010 day after B'day . If anyone need firmware guide, mine firmware was 3.40, model no. is CECH-2508B and Month of Import is OCT 2010. If anyone of u thinking of buying one get one now. I bought mine from Chandigarh. A very few Stock in 3-4 stores is left with 3.40 there.
