Graphic Cards PS3 or graphics card?

Hi,

I am considering buying a PS3 or a Graphics card for my PC.

My current PC config is:

Intel Q8200 Core 2 Quad 2.33 Ghz
MSI P7NGM Digital
2x2GB DDR2 RAM 800 Mhz
Cooler Master 460W

I am considering a purchase because I would like to play Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. I also watch a lot of movies especially xvid and mkv stuff.

My budget for the Graphics card is around 10k. I can go up a couple grand if need be. Will this new graphics card give me graphics better than a PS3?

I'm a getting a PS3 320 Gb Move Bundle for Rs. 18,200.

Thanks

It depends on what games you want to play most of the games on PS3 are there on PC, but there are exclusive games on PS3 which you won't get for PC, also to actually enjoy the graphics of the PS3 you would need a good HDTV that's where the quality matters. As for PC a better rig would give better quality. Also the PS3 games are a bit over priced at time but if u can wait for the platinum edition you would get them around half the price. I would opt for a PC over PS3.

I have Dell 24 inch Full HD monitor. I plan on modding the PS3, if a buy one.

My concern with the PC is bottlenecking with my current CPU. Also I've heard that exceeding a PS3's performance on a PC would require a better rig than mine. I'm not sure so that's why I am here.

If you are a hardcore gamer, definitely go for a PC.

FYI eye candy on the console games are toned down to keep a steady FPS flow.
