hey guys...

i tried searching a lot for PS3 in pune... but the damn buggers don't have it in stock :mad:
neways.. m coming to mumbai on 28th... n will be there for @ 3-4 days.. so i thought of picking up one from mumbai itself... so i just needed some answers for my following queries... :)

1. Which version shud i go for... 40GB or 60GB...

2. What would be the approx. price... and which is the best place to get it from... i've heard of alpha... but i don't know exactly where it is... (hope that i'll make full use of my N82 GPS :p)

3. What r the combo packs available? i mean the free games... is GTA available?

4. I currently don't have a LCD/plasma TV which can display full HD content.. i do have a 54" projection TV though:eek:hyeah: .. so will i need extra connectors to play on this TV? or will the provided cables be sufficient....

5. any other suggestions will be welcome as well...

1 - get the 40gb with warranty. 60gb model is not available officially anymore but u might get it in grey.

2 - the price of the 40gb @ croma or some other shops is 23500-24000rs.

3 - you get the gt5 prologue pack. i suggest you get that. its available for the price i mentioned above. you can buy gta seperately for 2600rs. cause even if u buy the gta pack its gonna cost like 26k.

4 - yes u will need to buy component cables for the ps3 to hook it up to the projection. as you get only the default rgb av cables with the ps3.

5 - pickup a ds3 controller also seperately.
 
PS3 comes with only the AV cables, so if your TV has some better connection like component, you have to get those cables separately. rest do what stormblast says. the 40GB version is the best to go for.
 
my TV has the S-video kinda connection... i don't exactly know what it stands for...

S-video means Separated Video..which is better than composite connection...but Component is better than either of two..and I dont have to speak about HDMi I assume...
