PSP 2.81 to CFW

hey guys,
a colleague of mine wants to upgrade his 2.81 psp to CFW - 3.90m33 ..

I have read a few tutorials online and have found the only way to do this is to upgrade to 3.03 then dowgrade to 1.50 and then go on to load 3.52m33 and then 3.90m33 using the GTA:LCS UMD. is there any other way to do this without the UMD ?

p.s. i have read the tutorial in this forum too.. it says the same as above.

Pandora battery ofcource ..!

It applies to all the psp now..

Catch hold of some ppl near ur area.. TE member.. wd get ur job done in lieu of a small treat .. ;)
 
ok heres my bad luck.. i updated to 3.03.. and then did everything i had to (i.e. copy the saved game file etc ) later i read that the gta copy should have a 2.00 update.. my gta has a 2.60 update... arrrh....what do i do now.. im stuck on 3.03

i found some guy in my area who upgraded the firmware to CFW for me

and yes it quite good

loading times are lesser and even startup and shutdown is faster for me atleast

battery life is shown somewhere around 6hrs or so that is quite good

i cud only have hoped that

he charged a hefty 500 bucks :@

but was generous enuf to throw some games in my pen drive

but i am a total blood sucker :rofl:

i wont leave him till i have sucked out every paisa of mine out of him:P
 
I think u got very fair deal re! here hyd psp users are demanding 1.5 to 2k :( sick b!tch3z they are making money out of dark alex's work! which is very unfair! i hope they rot in hell! dumb mofo's! :@
 
i am looking to put custom firmware on my psp slim ver 3.71 .. now i need a phat psp battery i think ..:S my bro has phat psp which has org firmware ...now getting that one,can i put custom firmware on my slim one?

any links to such guides are welcome ..:)
 
@Yogi, U'll need to install custom firmware on the phat to prepare Pandora's battery. Using that u can put custom FW on the slim.

I had managed to brick a friend's phat:ohyeah: . With the help of the linked guide, I was able to recover it.
