version is 5.03 dude...dhruvrock2000 said:What firmware is it on ? I replied to your skype message yesterday but you didn't get back to me
i am totally new to this.. can u gimme link of a complete tutorial?RD274 said:IMO you'll need to first get it into ChickHEN mode (the hard part) ... then run 5.03 GEN-C cfw ... then Prometheus2 mod. Once this is done, you should be good to go.
After this,
get the new signed 5.03 HEN and whenever you need to enter CFW you can do it via the PSP Menu. It'll save you the trouble of chickHEN mode and directly jump you to your installed CFW.
i have done the tutorial and my firmware is changed to 5.03gen FuLL c , but the screen now goes flickering and also its damn slow, like a virus infected pc...:-(su30mki117 said:Check the video tutorial HERE. Just follow the steps shown in the video, its pretty simple once you get chickHEN running.

eh? OMG ... dude that must be the fragile flash0 partition of the PSP. Get out of there fast. If you touch a single file there, you can risk bricking your PSP permanently!anish_sha said:But when i connect to usb, my 4gb memory stick is showing as 9.4mb disk and only 9.3mb free ...hmmmmm

I'm so sorry I didn't see this thread earlier. I'm guessing that your PSP is definetly bricked now. I hope you have warranty, get it replaced for a new PSP asap.

These semi hackable PSPs cannot be software repaired as the older PSPs were exploited because of the Recovery Mode. Firstly, try giving it to a professional PSP repair man in your area and see what he says. If he can't do anything, try handing it in for repair to Sony but most probably they will say it is dead and offer you a 30% ~ 50% discount in buying a new PSP.
better to delete those hack files in memory stick before giving to them rite?RD274 said:Considering its practically dead... I guess not. Unless they take out the memory stick, put it in a card reader/other PSP and go through its files.
