psp not charging properly, turning off in 2-3 minuts

it will show orange light for some time. if i started playing instantly after switching to power supply, play for some time then green light comes, then in few seconds or minutes it will turn off with neither lights on. wht could be the power? help me. there was some problem to select button which some how corrected itself some months before.

battery seems not charging but playing on direct current with or with out shows same problem. is the problem with the adapter

-Which psp model is it?

-How old?

-Battery the original one with the psp or not?

-Ever serviced?

-Did you attempted anything fancy/ Any accident with psp before this problem surfaced?

-Did you tried any other battery to solve the problem / have access to other battery?

psp 1003. 3+years old. never serviced. its firmware is something like m33 4.0. fell from my hand 2 yrs ba k. showed some memory problem during autosave after that, now i think ifs not even sa ing. typing from mobile..not easy. no access to other batteries or adapter. original batery

As the psp wasnt dropped recently as stated by you, Check with alternate charger and batteries first.

3+ years is good amount of time to have spent with one battery.

try to locate other psp user in ur area, you can ask here or use ur friends circle before you spend money on a permanent soln.
