^Nope and yeah posting links to other sites are allowed so long as it does not deal with advertising it. If the information is something you've quoted based on your experiences or information you've gathered elsewhere it's wiser posting it in your words. Instead if you've copied it from other sources, you're required to mention the original source so that you give due credit to them.
