hey guys, my very first gfx card ever is gonna come tomorrow from chennai.

Its the BIG 6600GT AGP :hap2:

Now, i am in a bit of a fix here. I have the stock mercury 300W PSU that shipped with the clevo cab.

My rig's config:

P4 2.4HT
Intel 865GBF
512MB DDR-266
80GB+40GB IDE Seagate
LG 52x32x52 CDRW
BENQ DW1620
2 80mm fans.
and the new 6600GT
Does the PSU that i have enough juice in it to support all these?

i really cant afford a gud PSU now, spent all my savings on the card.

i can disconnect the 40GB HDD cos it is full of music.

and the only other option that i have is to go for the zebronics 400W PSU that ships for around 400 bucks.

Any suggestions guys? :S

Can you tell me the A on the 12V?

I am also selling my 500W zebronics psu for 550rs shipped :D

lol, IMHO thats really not enough :(

if i had my way everyone would have atleast 26A

but around 18-20 should be ok

^^

darn..guess i have to disconnect the HDD and one fan atleast to temporarily run the card, before i get the new PSU.

thans a lot dude :D

^^ ermm..a lil confused.

under the +12V thingy >>> 15A
-12V thingy >>> 0.8A

Just check your voltages with Everest or any other such monitoring program. If your voltage rails don't deviate by more than 5-6%, you'll get away with it fine I think.

^^ did that. Voltage is varying b/w 12.25 and 12.31V

use a DMM and check your voltages anyway.....it gives perfect readings....
