Dunno whether I'm posting in the right section or not but here it goes.
I have a Tagan BZ800 PSU.
Since the past few days the fan was making quite a lot of noise.
Yesterday it completely stopped working.
I kept the PC switched off overnight and started the PC today. The first half hour the PSU fan was not working but then it again started making that same noise and I saw the fan struggling to start. After about 5 minutes of struggling it started working normally.

Now I'm not sure if it will stop working again.
Any idea whats wrong and what shud I do??

Check if any wires or grill is obstructing its motion.
Alternatively you can remove the fan and lubricate the bearings of the fan.
All bottom facing fan have an option to remove the fan so you can check it.

How old is your PSU? Check for any obstacle, else the fan might have gone kaput, RMA is your solution

Thanks for the prompt replies.

Have checked for dust, not the problem. No the fan is not hitting the grill and no wires obstructing it either.

the PSU is 2 years old and well if the fan had gone kaput then it wudnt be working again.

Wont removing the fan myself to lubricate the bearings void the warranty??

RMA is not quite an option as the service center will take more than a week to get the problem solved.

Yeah thats how Tagan support is out here.

And cud this be because I havent switched off my PC for months now except for the reboots every 10-15 days?
