PC Peripherals PSU without APFC

The cost of having a pure sine UPS is too much :mad: , so I was looking for PSU without Active-PFC. Though APFC PSU is good, but can't help :no: it will increase the cost of rig :'(

So Can anybody list out the PSU without APFC. I wanted +600W. :annoyed:
 
there are a lotta PSU's avail in the market. look around at options available through sites like lynx-india and primeabgb.. come back here with a list and ppl'll help you shortlist.

and who said a PC wiht an APFC needs a pure sine wave UPS? if this is in reference to the whining noise that the UPS tends to make, then worry not, coz Corsair service folks have said tat it aint an issue

But then you're sacrificing the performance of the whole rig cos of this PSU.

I'd suggest a better PSU instead. You should not be experiencing any problems related either to the PSU or the UPS.

How can I do that :( some ppl in forum have clearly said the problem they are facing between PSU with APFC and UPS without Pure Sine Wave :no: . If I go for the performance then PSU with APFC is good, but then again to support it I have to get a proper Pure Sine UPS. That would increase the cost of my total rig by more than +8K :no:

Microtek 800va is not a pure sine one, otherwise I would have surely gone for it. That is the problem man :huh:
 
look at me, My PSU is a tier 1(corsair is tier 2) yet it works perfectly on a Sukam non sine wave inverter.

pickup a VX450, and a microtek 800VA

Btw, what city are you from?
 
No harm in using vx450 with non smart ups @least thats what corsair staff told me.Me on vx450 + 1kva APC **** ups.todate no probs. except the buzzing.

From my pers. exp. u can go for active pfc smps .
 
Thanks man that seems very encouraging :) , but what about the things that are been said in the forum,where it is clearly said that APFC support Puresine UPS. Also I will need more 450W PSU. In that case, if I go for APFC PSU above +500W then will that 1KVa UPS will support it. :huh:
 
APC 1kva can support upto 600w .what u have to determine is how much power ur sys draw frm smps.if its below 600w 1kva is enough. if u go for corsair just go for vx450 if it satisfies your need.
