purchase advice for new TV

guys,

I am in market for new tv and i visited sony and panasonic so far.

I liked panasonic plasma's for quality and i honestly want some good panel for my parents and it has to coomfortable for prolonged viewing .

which one is better?

is it plasma or ips led?

It needs to be purchased in this week itself.

room size is approximately 400 sqft and viewing distance is around 7-8 feet.
 
Plasma will definitely be better choice between the two.

I own a Samsung Led 6 Series and recently bought a Samsung plasma D490 and there is a huge difference in clarity and motion response.

In case you prefer LED, check out LG Smart 3D LED TVs they have a really good 3D effect but are a bit expensive.

I am avoiding 3D as TV is meant for parents and both have vision problems (age related) so want to avoid flickering and all what not of 3D panels.
