I am thinking of buying the TVSE Gold Keyboard which costs about 1500 rupees, and I have a few questions.

  1. How good is it?
  2. Does the keyboard really have Cherry MX Blue switches?
  3. What is the best place to buy it?
  4. Is there any shop in Pune selling it?
  5. Alternatively, where can I buy a keyboard from Cherry, Rosewell, Filco or Ducky in India? Does any international shop ship these to India?
Happy Diwali!

TVS Gold is definitely the best budget mechanical keyboard in india right now

1) Build quality is amazing ,it is built like a tank.
2)It has Cherry Mx Blue switches ,you can confirm by pulling a key off and the blue mechanical switch is there to admire
3)I bought it from ebay costs 1.6k 3 months ago ,since it is out of stock everywhere else

I think if you should go ahead for it without giving a second thought.

Thank you for the input, Nalin. I'll try Ebay.

Does anyone know whether it is available in Pune? I've heard that the retail market price for this keyboard is way lower than the price online.

Also, I want to know whether it is possible to source keyboards from brands like Filco and Ducky to India.

Bump.

Any Punekars know where I can buy the TVS Gold, Ritcomp or HCL Diamond mechanical keyboards?

Happy Diwali to TechEnclave!

I got mine from Swaroop Comp in Navasahyadri (Erandwane), you can try either STech or DCC both stock TVS-e iirc.

Thank you for the reply.

What was its price when you bought it? Also, which model did you buy (USB or PS/2)?

Where to buy this keyboard in Bangalore for the best price? My current keyboard has given up, need to get another ASAP.

S.P. Road, expect it to be priced between ~1500 -->1700/- (dependent on PS/2 OR USB connector).

Shops you can give a dekho --
  • Aashirwaad Computers
  • Ankit Infotech
  • Golccha Inter Trade
Hope this helps, Cheerio!

USB Model nowhere to be found in S.P. Road. The P/S 2 is retailing for 1400 +Tax. And I'm stuck with on-screen keyboard for now :p
