so did everything in this universe chaos :) but at this point of time it did not exist on TE, in your mind it may have, but how does that matter if you did not tell us about it ;) btw where u from?
 
I'm already using ASIO4All with the Foobar SSRC resampler, would this really make a huge difference in sound quality ?

I didn't post about it before cos kX is not that useful anymore with high quality software resamplers and better parts on creative cards. kX project was created when creative's drivers were actually atrocious and there were not many 3rd party high quality cards out there (during the times of SB Live). Over the last few years, they've improved leaps and bounds and frankly there's no real need for kX anymore. Audigy cards are gamer cards and kX drivers were created with audio recording/playback in mind. It lacks all the game specific features (EAX 3/4) and CMSS etc making the card at times worse than even onboard solutions for games. Anyone who's remotely interested in recording/playback/monitoring won't be using an audigy anyway. So effectively they are trying to address a set of people that doesn't exist anymore :P.

lots of beginners use audigys when they start playing around with fruity loops, cubase etc because that was and still is a good soundcard and those kx drivers do push it better than the current creative drivers for the audigy for these set of people maybe not gamers, but for me and anyone else who loves music more than gaming this is here for them :)
 
My question is same as Anish's.

I use foobar with my Audigy 2 ZS and will I see any noticeable difference ?
 
KX drivers make a huge diff. from standard creative driver ... but it fails when it comes to gaming .. so i'd suggest u to create two different hardware profiles and use the KX and the Creative drivers ... KX mainly for music and entertainment , while Creative drivers for gaming ..

Trust me , install it and look at the DSP settings page .. u'll be shocked and amazed ... u can literally do a million things right from here ... adding seperate equalizer for front and rear channels .. different effect for each output channel .. and to limits of diverting the center speaker output to a different output viz. the front of rear ..
