Hi,
I had moved out of my house for two months and disconnected my 'net connection (You Telecom).
There was severe downtime when the Japan 'quake happened, but it was kind of OK before and after that.
Recently they've been trying to re-acquire me, and their latest ploy is to throw up a pretty good offer.
I was on a 192 kbps UL at 780 bucks/month, and now the offer is to take the same connection and get two months free for every subscribed month (apparently it's only for lapsed connections).
It sounds pretty good, so what's the verdict; Yay or Nay?
BTW 192 is enough for me, I need unlimited connections. Don't like to have to watch download and time limits, and my download rig can be on 24x7.

i would suggest to stay away from you. its 1 of the worst connections you can take. since citibank has taken over & the name has changed from iqara to you its become sad. iqara was 1 of the best connections. i am using you in office. 2mbps line & my browsing speed is 50 - 60kbps & dload speed 5 - 7kb. i have changed my scheme to a 512kb plan also but still similar sad speeds. i have taken tata unlimited 256kbps plan now for Rs.699/- & its much better & i am actually get full bandwidth on tata.

Im using the same plan and its not a bad thing if you ask me.. i get the promised speeds and relatively no downtime. If i were getting 2 months free then id definatiely take it.

@Storm,

The Connections in your city/area might be congested....

My conn. did not have a single prob in 3 years (now i changed to TATA as you didnt have any decent 256UL plans)

You has done the wiring to my place, given me the modem and all. When my XBroadband connection expires in a week or so, I'll be taking the 192UN. XBroadband's 256kbps is like 19KB/s instead of 30 and they charge 1300 here.... at Rs.800 I don't mind if You gives me around 20 instead of 24. I'll be saving Rs. 500 :\ On their latest ad in the newspaper, You had one 939UN plan.. I wonder if its 256kbps. If yes I'll take that. Lets seee... :P
