Q3A:Multiplayer help

I and frend of mine in hyderabad wish to play a private online match.could sombdy care to help this noob with a step by step guide...

ive got q3a 1.32 point release+osp

Use Hamachi and make sure you are not behind any firewalls. Shouldn't be too hard then.

ohh hamachi, had done it long back and was wishing to find a better (read simpler) alternative, so was watching this thread.

i thought with 1.32, you didnt need a vpn. It works straight off with net play, right?

or its a good news to all whoever can cm 2 GAMEFERNO even frm outside delhi though gamers are cmin frm chennai and B'lore in India's biggest LAN gaming evet ever

the netcode is much better than OSP's. you'll have a nicer experience online.

does that server have team modes or only duels? as in, do people play tdm or ctf or is it just dueling while others spectate?

it's voteable of course but most people there like dueling.

that's a shame. if i want to duel i just start a listen server and play with my friend. i would really like to play ctf/tdm with others though but if the server is used exclusively for dueling then it's a no go for me.

you can always try asking for it. it just doesn't happen very often. maybe i should do something like ask himanshu to just force CTF only for a couple of weeks or something
