Q4 in Planet M Already

^^ COD2 is a piece of crap for SP and MP. Quake 4 along with the mod packs wil be the defacto FPS MP game, infact wait for a CPMA mod for Q4 and it will be the game for MP.
 
Unless a patch which allows more users on the server comes out its boaring sometimes to play MP in quake4.

But still its worth the price. Looking at fear costing freakin 3K, this is normal. This is max a game should be charged in India.
 
^^ Nah the q3 lovers want Q3 CPMA gameplay, and thats where ID is gonna get most of the sales from hence dont see that happening. Though I agree with you 1vs1 gets very boring and frustrating if you suck at it ;)

Hehe moral of the story is Quake has a very high entry barrier unlike other CS'ish fpses. I'm gonna buy Q4 only for 1v1 :). Don't care about any other game mode. In fact no other computer game is as intense as a Quake 1v1.

In terms of the future of Q4MAX, we will be focusing heavily on creating the most comprehensive list of core enhancements such as MVD support, enhanced Netcode, statistical improvements, as well as many more as soon as the SDK is released. We also hope to create a platform by which other developers for gametype modes such as Clan Arena or Instagib can use our work as a starting point for their own quality mods for Q4.
 
Yep quake games aren't beginner-friendly, even something as old as quakeworld is heavily draining on skill requirements.
To the uninitiated, it would look like those people play with noclip turned on considering how fast they fly across maps gliding around walls.
 
Lol Quake 4 MP is like ghost town right now ! So won't be getting be getting until its fairly populated. Also the idea of deathmatching has grown a bit old now.
