hey.. i'm currently using AMD Phenom II x4 940(3.0) processor. Since i'm running it on a stock cooler, the idle temperatures were around 40-45c and 55-60+ on load. Now all of a sudden its idling around 55-60:mad::mad:.
when i open "core temp" i realise that all the 4 cores are running at 3.0ghz! it wasn't like this earlier.. it used to be idling at 40c and the cores would be running something between 1.8 to 2.6 ghz most of the time! Only when i used to run prime95(stress test) it used to run at 3.0ghz!
please help me to reduce the idle clock speeds.
[note- cool and quiet is enabled in Bios]
thanks..

mention ur room temperature.
summers are at peak nowadays so the idle time also increases.

also about ur proccy runing at 3.0 ghz all the time.
just go in bios and check for and cool and quiet.
and then check if the clock speed decreases or not when proccy is at idle.
