Hi Guys,

Just wanted to update u guys on my Rig status.

Currently purchased following things.
AMD 3000+ Venice 0545 DPMN - Rs6500 [Priceshoots up as i had to get :mad: ]
DFI NForce4 Ultra-D Rs6000 [Deejay]
Sapphire X800XL Rs13500 [Deejay]
Segate SATA 7200.0 160GB Rs4300
Benq DW1640 White Rs2850 [Damn all black out of stock]
Logitech MX518 Mouse Rs1500 [Mandar]

Yet to Purchase
Ram 2X512MB
Ati Siliencer
VIP ZB01 All Black - will purchase today
PowerSupply - Waiting for Vantec ION2 460W to arrive by this Thu/Fri
Also some goodies , lets see but.

Deejay & XT are helping me a lot in my "Mission Rigpossible"

Also Eazy has helped me a lot with all the questions i asked him reg HDD/DVDWriter & his Lammy Road Map with all markings.

Overclock test
Testing to find the CPU limit
We successfully managed to overclock the
AMD Athlon 3000+
ADA3000DAA4BW
LBBWE 0545 DPHW

To :- 2700Mhz [300x9] , HTT300 , Vcore 1.65V , Stock Cooler , Temp = 42C :hap2: :clap:
Also memtest 1.60 passed 1test without error.
No AS5 applied yet.
We could push it further but as I had decided that I will run my CPU at 2.5Ghz
we didnt oc it more beyond 2.7Ghz as we also had to install windows and drivers.

NOTE: Ram & PSU used was Deejays Giel One TCCD which was running 1:1 &
his Antec TP 2.0 550W so we could remove all bottlenecks while overclocking.

System Install
We then loaded WinXp after i did some mistake we had to reinstall it.
Finally WinXP Pro with SP2 was up with all Drivers etc......

Visual Quality Testing
Then we installed FarCry to check the GPU quality which i wanted to see.
As FarCry was lying there close by installed it.
Wow I had never seen such excellent graphics the water was amazing
even the greenery was looking fantastic.
I tested the game ay full eyecandy on at 1600x1200 yet the game was
running without ne sort of lags , smooth game play.

Nice Rig man :eek:hyeah: and you got all the cool stuffs from others, Post your benchmarks, etc... soon. BTW what monitor do you have or going to buy?
 
Congrats quad on your awesome rig, with deejay by your side oc'n would have been a breeze. waiting for some benchies :)

what ram are planning to buy eventually ? & why not 19 inch 997df.
 
Deejay configured the BIOS and all we had to do was test stability at each stage.

To Reach a 2.7Ghz it took us 5hrs of testing at various speeds.

Regarding the benchies it will take some time.
Untill i get hold of the ram and psu.
 
@golden - i am happy with gettin 2x512mb.

@Ren - i wanted to go to apex to check if they had got the new psu but had a talk with him on the phone he said it will take time for vantec to arrive also
it took us a lot of time to get other components so didnt go only to apex.

Thanks QF - actually its a team effort i havnt done it alone.

@XT- u bet yaar it wud have gone further but i want practical overclock only.
As i am going to run this system at 2.5Ghz , 2.7Ghz was more than enuf as peak to attain.
 
@ quad, Kindly get the rams and psu asap......ur actual m/c assembly & testing, fine tunning and certifying the o/c (280 ~ 285 HTT) to military / mission critical Grade (NASA):D can only be started after you get these 2 components asap.

@ XT,
so what quad "stopped" you from going over 300 mhz.
(XT had the foot on the accelerator so to speak ....)
if you wanna play NFS @ 310 ~ 320 Mhz fsb, 1:1, you know what to do......(Hint: the naked m/c is still at my place remember haha) ;) :eek:hyeah:

Zalman i had sold about a month ago along with the cpu.

have bought and received the TT Big typhoon h/s as "replacement".

GEIL : Not for Sale ....saving it for the opteron 144
 
Very happy to see that Quady's RIG is finally coming up and its coming out nicely... Luck for the rig quady and consider a SLB... After getting it i am totally in Love with it...
