Quake 4 1.1 Point release

DO NOT INSTALL if you have a widescreen display. It screws up the timings and can damage the monitor. Thank god they recalled the patch before I finished downloading else I'd have ended up with a dead monitor.
 
huh? chaos. i haven't heard of this at all on any of the websites discussing this patch. i'm also in talks with SyncError of id software so i can do a bit of bug reporting. could you please elaborate on that?
 
yea i saw this. id are already aware of this issue as well and are working to get a new release out quickly.
 
What I can't understand is how did id manage to get out a potential monitor killer patch out of QA :S. I'm sure they have atleast a few widescreens.
