Quake 4 help

I have Quake 4 and I want to play the old fashioned Quake like Deathmatch, etc...etc...

How do I play it offline without having to go on the net and look for servers and all that trouble??
 
Create your own server I guess?There should be an option of choosing which type of game you want to create. I don't know I dont have the game - yet.;)
 
You can create a local LAN server from the Multiplayer menu, but since there are no bots available in Quake 4 all you can do is run around and shoot yourself in the foot :lol:

EDIT: Before anyone brings up sabot (short for stupid angry bot), let me tell you it's stupid... literally!
 
Dude, it's a multiplayer game meant to be played with people... bots plain suck! You cannot improve your game with bots because they're predictable.

On a lighter note, you shouldn't have a problem running around and shooting yourself in the foot :D
 
I dont want to improve my game or anything..... I play for fun.

Quake 3 was tough enough with the bots....

Why the heck couldnt they have done a similar thing with Q4??? :@ :@ :@
 
OMG... q3 bots and tough.... :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:. The way I gauged my game vs bots was to find my frags per hour :P. Anything less than 400 means I didn't frag quick enuf :P
 
Uninstall Quake4 and reinstall Q3 wid CPMA or OSP,u can try Warsaw as well...its a stand alone free download

that is if u r looking for fun...
 
If you want to have fun, the new bot AI in Q3 CPMA is really really good (read the best bot AI in any shooter ever).
I forgot how to to enable the new AI, but someone else will surely tell you how.

They can strafejump and everything, and provided you're good enough, you will have some awesome duels with them with the scores never exceeding 3-4 etc.

Xaero is a noob. Nightmare Major with the machinegun (50% MG accuracy lol) or Godlike Loque (UT99) with a sniperrifle (nealry always a headshot) - That's where it's at :D
 
ID gave it to RAVEN and they're the ones that killed it.

Slowly but surely ID's trying to fix what they broke.
 
that guys is asking help on Q4 and u guys are telling him to go for q3 and uninstall q4.... dudes not all play for the bot counts per hour ... .. and please dont expect them to. . . it would be better if people start helping seriously rather than showing or boasting of thier own skills when actully someone is in need of help...

lol....chill dude.... they did help me....

Rio told me very clearly that I cant play with bots......
