Deck the halls with Rails and Rockets... id Software, Raven, and Activision have released the Quakemas Map Pack - three free new downloadable maps for QUAKE 4 on the PC. The maps - Railed, Tremors, and Campground Redux - offer all-new gameplay environments for more intense action in deathmatch, TDM, capture-the-flag and tournament combat. Railed - q4tourney1

Set in an abandoned, rusting Strogg facility, this new map is all about close-quarters combat and hair-trigger reflexes as players hustle through the winding, multi-tiered corridors. Designed particularly for tournament play, Railed also supports Deathmatch and TDM game modes.

Tremors - q4ctf7

Built within a twisting underground cavern, Tremors demands tactical expertise. Enemies attack from above and below in the enormous, multi-tiered environment, making team-play invaluable. Perfect for large CTF games, the map also supports the Arena CTF mode.

Campgrounds Redux - q4dm9

A revitalization of a QUAKE III Arena classic. Excellent for any number of players, Campgrounds Redux supports Deathmatch, TDM and Tournament modes, where hard-core QUAKE fans can get crazy with this throw-back to one of their old favorites.
 
Aaaah.... Q3DM6 in Q4 finally :D. I was wondering if I should actually build a copy of it all these days. Now what we need is a conversion of ztn3tourney1 and pro-q3tourney4 :).
 
Last thing quake4 needs is the same old maps being remade again and again.
What crap is this - blood run is there since quake1, the edge since quake2 and pro-t4 was never a good map.

The game needs all new maps. Although don't really mind the edge, it's only the best map ever made for any game (deck16 is totally its' b**ch).
 
^^LOL IMHO it was the best map for quake 3 1v1. yeah the rail dominated but it kept the player alert all the while unlike ztn or dm6. Camping is next to impossible in pt4 and anyone who can strafe jump properly(i mean the second floor) can navigate from one end of the map to the other in less than 2 seconds. Eating a lot of health/armor doesnt help much either... its all about raw skill and accuracy.
 
this map pack was total bs. horrible idea to remake dm6 that too one where its close to impossible to bridge to rail and tough to jump over the pillars near RA area. Railed has a single yellow armour like the fragging yard. wtf? the ctf map is almost as big as a level from the single player campaign :P

@Chaos, strafe jumping over the second floor gap was too tough to be effectively used in matches :P you don't even see the likes of cooller or zero4 attempting it because of the high chance of falling short.
