Qualcomm has unleashed their Snapdragon 600 chipset with the newly announced HTC One, and boy is it good. The Snapdragon 600 is currently the fastest ARM mobile SOC available, only to be beaten by the Snapdragon 800 which will arrive in the next 3-6 months. Snapdragon 600 can clock it's 4 x Krait 300 cores between 1.7 GHz to 1.9 GHz. Now, it's time for the lower end Snapdragon 200 and 400 series to receive some attention.
Snapdragon 400
The faster of the two, the Snapdragon 400 series will come in both dual core and quad core flavors. Here are the variants and their features:
Snapdragon 200
Moving on, we have the entry level Snapdragon 200 series chipsets. These may not be that impressive, but it's nice to see quad cores even in the lowest end segment of mobile processors.
Things already look good for Qualcomm. Their new approach, product segmentation will only enhance their position as market leaders.
