To begin with my room doesnt have an Ac nor does cooler help much. I have A8 3850 housed inside Lian LiLancool K62 with all fans installed. I have Prolimatec Megahalems but given that ambient temperature is not good,so the air cooler doesn't help much. What I was thinking of getting a complete Wc kit, am not looking for something custom and high end but something that comes prebuilt and ready to be installed.

I know that a custom built WC kit will have the obvious advantage but for that I don't have the money nor the time to work with. So to sum things up, I want a quick solution. Since the air supply doesn't work well + gets dirty from time and on I wanted something more silent and better performing thats why I am considering some prebuilt kits.

I have very little info about WC kits since I was never interested in them so please do help. All I know is few names so I think I should list them here.

  1. Antec Khuler 920
  2. Corsair H100 ?
  3. AMD FX WC kit ? Asetek ?
What I need is a more potent solution than my current cooling setup (Megahalems + 120mm Xigmatek) . I don't know how much I can spend but I guess ~7k is the limit or a little lower.

Here are few quetsions : -

  1. How good a WC kit will do ?
  2. I want a silent counterpart . Even though the current setup is way to silent, I don't want anything louder.
  3. Will I be needing some coolant to refill just like we need TIM ?
  4. Also what are the limits of the prebuilt setup ?
  5. The kit should fit in the K62 dragonlord case.

So what should I do ?Please do help.

Also how much should I expect for the current setup ? Prolimatech Megahalems + 120mm Xigmatek/

Regards

hello sir

i will try to help you to the best of my abilities :)

a AIO wc kit will do just fine, and their are kits for all kinds of possibilities. I myself have an h100, so i will answer with that in mind.

it will do just fine to cool your setup to a level close to (a few degrees) a custom loop. i run my h100 in mumbai without an ac or a fan on a 920 3.8G@1.25v with only push with stock fans and i report 67c on the hottest core during linx. mind you sir that i want to go P/P but due to case limitations, i am stuck with this config. if you add push pull, u can drop temps another 2c. the h100 will set you back 6.7k. my suggestion is to get it now and add 2 more fans down the line. i would also suggest that you have a look at the h80 as it is also amazing. the h100 truly shines as it can accommodate a P/P setup on a 240mm rad and does great at higher clocks/vcore.

First choice h100. Second choice Antec 920. But remember both will be noisy compared to your current setup as both have high fin radiators and need High cfm high pressure fans

the xspc kits are great but the issue is the pain involved in shipping and customs which raises its price much higher the the h100, all for a few degrees.

at the end of the day the op has to see what suits him best
