Guys i have a Tata Indicom Broadband connection in office and a Vodafone on my phone both Postpaid.

Now i was thinking should i dump the Tata Connection in the office and get the Vodafone Mobile Connect Rs. 899/- Unlimited Pack.

I have a HTC Desire and really wanna use Internet on it when i am outside but don't like the Plans that Vodafone has so if their speeds and connectivity is good enough for office use just Browsing , Chats and Mails then i can get rid of the Tata Connection and take the unlimited Pack and connect the phone to my PC when i am in Office save money on the Tata connection and Pay for Vodafone and get both.

What kind of Speeds can i expect on my PC ?

Thanks a lot for helping :)

It totally depends on the speeds that can be handled by your mobile. The latest HTC can handle 4G speeds, however those models are available only in the US. Try googling the model of the HTC you have and find out the details of the speed it can handle.

I dont know whether Vodafone is 3G ready. If you have a HTC mobile which is 3G ready then the data speed depends on the operator.

Hope this helps.

@OP

Sir ji, Check Vodafone Mobile Connect plans for better deals.

Its 299 Rs Unlimited. Used it many times, connected to laptop. Speeds are good for surfing. Dont use for Download.

Stable connection, May be depends on your range. Just check with Delhi circle if Vodaphone won 3G bid.

VMC is edge based. 3G services are yet to start in india :)

ive been using the 500mb pack for rs 499 a month for the last 15 months. i doubt there's a 299 unlimited plan for VMC.

lol. the best ur gonna get out of any gsm service apart from mtnl/bsnl is edge speeds. it doesnt matter if your phone supports 3g or 4g. the operators dont provide 3g yet, but can start providing them in circles where they have one the auction- 1st september onwards. and, 4g will depend on the bwa auctions and the technology the operator chooses to use. if you have an htc evo 4g (cdma) which supports wimax, ur not gonna get to be able to use it if your operator chooses LTE as a 4g standard .

@madnav -The 99Rs recharge is a special plan. The Vodafone Helpline ppl will tell you how to activate it exactly

^ The plans are not the same for all circles. So call CC to check what all plans are available in your circle.
