I have got 3g activate on my cellphone and am pretty excited. But to hold the horses down, I am not able to connect my phone to the laptop for internet use. I looked on the web, but could not find any definite answers apart from installing PDAnet (the free version of which doesn't run for all websites). Now I want to know how I can access the 3G network through my phone on my laptop.
Specs:
Phone: LG Optimus One P500
Android OS: Froyo 2.2 (rooted)
Laptop: Dell Inspiron 15R
OS: Windows 7 X64

Ok figured it out. Just had to switch on USB Tethering
. Didn't seem to work earlier. How do I make the connection secure - any idea, do I have to set up VPN?
