query on Lowpower pocket friendly 24*7 Download Machine setup for torrents

Hi Guys,

Since most of the Premium file sharing sites are getting raided and take down by diplomats...I'm left with one and only option..Which is torrents and Magnets...

I have almsot finalised the Plan for my usage too which is Reliance's 1mbps Unlimited DSL connection.

I will be using this RIG for 24*7 Online downloading and seeding.I want to access this RIG remotely from office and via Mobile.

Previosly i heard about pogoplug and when i was about to buy that from US then suddenly Rapberry Pi came into picture...But raspberry pi's release date had been postponed to february mid and so far no updates about the same...Please help me out with my available alternatives and some infos for a 24*7 torrent downloader...

#[member='rosemolr'], Better get a ASUS RT-N16, has 2 USB ports, uses transmission for downloading torrents, no need of messing with scripts, just attached Drive, install Downloader, and you are set. Has VPN as well so you can set that up as well to use as proxy or for connecting to your Home network, also has the option of connecting to it from WAN, for Automatic IP users have DDNS service as well

go for a Netgear RND2000 ReadyNas 2000, load it with transmission, 2 HDD's of 2 Tb each, and download 24 x7

Should cost 12k for the ReadyNas + HDD's are your own, go with 250 Gb to 2 Tb any drives...
