query regarding xbox 360 warranty

I had purchased my xbox last year november 2010 to be precise.

I registered my console and found out that the warranty for RROD is 2 years now [and slim version for 1 year]

Asked few xbox owners and they are saying it is.

still wanted to confirm it here

So it is only 2 years ? [those who bought xbox in 2010 after july] Please Confirm it.
 
1 Year Full Console warranty + 2 Years Only RROD Warranty = 3 Years RROD Warranty
 
Microsoft had extended the warranty to 2 years for RRoD and E74 error long back. It was valid on every X360 model, except for the X360S, which bears only the standard 1 year warranty. So it doesn't matter when you purchased the console.

Oh but

It is showing that my warranty is till 29 Oct 2012. on xbox site. So that is RROD warranty then ? and after that i will have one more year full warranty then ? Just Clarify it please a bit confused
 
Don't go by their website. In your case, it should be till November 2013. You need to keep your bill handy, just in case. Even my warranty on their website came up with one less year. I got mine in August 2009 and on the website it came up as June 2011 as the expiration date. I called up their rep and confirmed the 2 year extended warranty. He told me that it still holds true and I'll need to keep my bill handy, in case of any discrepancy. It would have the exact date of purchase on it, so you can validate that, when you need to claim your warranty.
