Query related to change in Passport Office

least yeast kuch nahi bro......many people are lining up to leave India or atleast get their passport done . You will be surprised to see the number of applicants in passport office these days... they are overburdened with the number so they prefer to leave it to people to come and verify quickly.
It reduces their time also.

Do not agree. Colleague recently renewed his passport and got it after a month and after PV.

one month is long time. Maybe some document issue or even some risk factor( like a record at police station previously)

Right. See, if the documents are pefect, address is updated on Aadhar, its not recently changed, etc etc will lead to early issue of passport without PV. They have all the data points to assign risk score and accordingly treat each cases individually.

Mine wasn't renewal, but address change (From Aurangabad to Pune) and added name of spouse. PV post!

My first PP was of Mumbai and during renewal the address got change to that of Pune as my aadhar & every document is now registered on Pune address. So, it was renewal cum address change but no PV involved!

I got my mom a passport last week. The PV happened after she got the passport (which was the very next day)
