Hey guys i have the 1299 connection where its 512 at night and 1Mbps by night.

I just checked my bills now and theres another charge known as DSL usage charge for which the value has been 300-400 each month. Does anyone know what this is ?

Besides i am paying 1600+ per month for 15GB FUP (got fupped this month finally) and no one on Airtel CC has a clue or solution. Getting it disconnected nonetheless. Just need some answers regarding this dsl charge.

This is what airtel does to confuse customers. They'll first charge you and then give you a discount. You see that 199 discount ask them what it is.

I think I can relate to this. This plan used to come with free gaming worth 199 per month. In all likelihood, they would have charged you twice for the games on demand - 199 * 2 - in error of course, and then deducted only once, and hence the discount of 199.

Didn't you look into the full bill? Airtel's bills contains the charges under each head, in detail, in the subsequent pages.

To understand your bill you need to turn the page and look for DSL usage charges and DSL benefits. The Rs.300-400 can be charges for anything like Speed on demand, Airtel anti virus subscription, Games on demand etc. With your plan a few of these come as limited complementary value added services and if you exceed beyond the free limit, it will be billed as extra usage. "The Less Total Discounts of 199" will be any of the above mentioned services along with free calls that come with your plan, that you have used. Therefore you have been given a discount according to the plan. If yours is an unlimited plan (it is in all probability) Airtel will not and cannot bill you for usage beyond FUP, if that's what you are thinking.

Thanks for the replies guys, will be taking all the bills and heading to the head office directly to sort this matter out.

Going through emails and cc will be a pain.
