Storage Solutions Question on WD 2TB USB 3 Drive Warranty

Hi

I am looking to buy a 2TB USB 3 HDD...have decided to buy the WD 2TB WDBACW0020HBK (My Book Essential)...am planning to get it from letsbuy since I am getting a coupon discount around 500...

Need advice on:
1. The warranty on the drive is listed as 3 years at:

But one of the comments from letsbuy says it has a warranty of 1 year only...

Does anybody have this drive? How much warranty does it have? Any way to confirm or know this since I think the sellers do not have a lot of information...

2. Also, any idea if I should bank on letsbuy or go with flipkart? I have gone thru the feedback threads for both but want to get ideas if its worth 500/- to go with letsbuy?

3. If you think there is any other better drive than this please let me know asap...
Planning to place the order right away so please let me know quickly if possible

WD drives have 3 years onsite warranty.

You have to register the drive at their site to avail the warranty. By default the warranty is considered from the day of production. You need to scan your invoice and mention it in your mail for extending your warranty to 3 years from the date of your purchase.
