I have one important question in mind and the answer of which I am unable to find on TechEnclave regarading its market rules.

Incase of return of product and refund of money due to any valid reason irrespective of fault on buyer or seller's part, what should be done according to TE rules: -
Should the buyer return the product first and then realize the refund after seller received its product or should the seller return the money first and then buyer ship the product.
Please help in this regard. Your kind help will improve trade in the market section of TechEnclave. "LONG LIVE TECHENCLAVE".

Regards,
Raheel Shadab.

There is no rule regarding this as this is not a online store. Buyer and seller can decide between themselves.

Though its universal practice to return the product first and then get the refund. This is practised all over.

But IMO as buyer should send the money first then in case of return too money should be sent first by the seller.

this is something very simple ; best thing is to take a real scenario....

i want to buy product 'x' with 5 days money back guarantee......

i order it online and hence i "PAY" for it on booking....

I get the product.....

I dont like it and hence i want refund.....

common sense question : should i ask the company to send me refund 1st and only then would u release the good back ? :O The company will be more than happy for u to keep the product.

Hence, product goes back 1st and then money is refunded.

Now thats something universal......

at the end of the day , its really the understanding between the buyer and the seller how they wish to proceed with the same.

Often there are cases where products may be returned citing a defect. In those cases the seller would obviously like to verify there has been no damage to it from the buyer's end before returning his money.

As Shripad mentioned - there are no rules, only guidelines/suggestions.

If a seller sells a defective good, it makes sense to check it and notify the seller as soon as you receive it.

What is the rule if seller without disclosing the defect sells the product and cheats the buyer?

Dude,

Stop acting like a child and stop playing blame games.

If I were to be cheating you, I would have never taken the card back.

Even I could say that a perfectly working 8800GTX went kaput on your iBall PSU or your CM600 PSU.(Which is very possible).

The card was working fine with no issues what so ever a day before it was shipped.

I have had enough patience to deal with your innumerable pm's and chats.

After so much happening, I don't want this headache anymore and want the card back. Whatever issue there is, I'll look into it and keep the card myself.

After all of this and me readily accepting a return, you call me a cheater?

This is not done.

Please behave responsibly and think before posting such things.

One more thing.

With this thread I hope you are convinced that you are supposed to ship the card back first, before asking for a refund.

I will not entertain your one million'th request for a refund before shipment.

But he hasn't mentioned anything regarding u in the complete thread, see the thread carefully, he nowhere described regarding the deal of ur gpu. So think twice before speaking.
