OC & Modding Question regd case fans and AIOs

Hi Guys,

Noob here so some stupid questions. Would love to get help.

  1. AIO fans - are they set for intake or exhaust out of the box? Normally exhaust for top mounting right?
  2. AIO fans - if I want to reverse the setting for front mounting, I suppose that I can remove them? But if I reverse the fans the wrong side will show right? Can I change the fans to reverse blade fans? Can an AIO take fans from another manufacturer?
  3. Any suggestions for white argb fans which I can buy the same brand for regular and reverse?
  4. My PC will be set against a wall. How many inches from the wall should it be for the side intake fans to have decent airflow? 2-3 inches OK, or more?
Specifically the Deepcool LD360 with the FD 120 fans.

I found Antec reverse fans. Will they go onto a Deepcool radiator? Are case fans and AIO fans basically interchangeable?

I believe most AIOs the fans don't come attached to the radiator, it's up to you to mount them in the way you want. But yes, top is usually exhaust, following the 'natural' flow of hot air.

If the fans come pre-mounted, yes, you can remove them. And yes you can take fans from another manufacturer, reverse blade or otherwise also. No issues. I'm running my NZXT AIO with Noctua fans.

Yah pretty much. My Noctua fans are case fans which are mounted to the AIO.

EDIT: Sorry, scratch that. Forgot that AIO fans are static pressure fans while case fans are not. That being said, my Noctuas are case fans which I'm running on my radiator with no issues in about 4-5 years (crosses fingers). But YMMV. So better to get AIO fans.
