Hi Guys,

If I find a part that I have bought is defective, is it usual to RMA thru the shop you bought it from or directly with the company? Or more plainly CAN someone RMA directly with the company if the shop is not cooperative?

It depends on the shop you're buying from. Some shops may offer to do it themselves, by coordinating directly with the distributor. It's rare, though.

More often than not, you can submit an RMA request with the distributor/company directly, and proceed from there.

What @PunkX 75 said. Depends on the shop.
FWIW, if you have an authorized service center in your vicinity, just RMA directly through them. Call the customer care number first, raise a ticket with invoice & product details and confirm stock availability & timeline for the replacement unit to prevent further inconvenience.
