Question: VMs and Peripherals

Well, its been a long time TE, none know me so it doesn't matter. I have a tricky question.
Is there a possibility to use one peripheral device in multiple VMs on a single VM simulation software.
For example, a USB device, being detected 3 different VM environments at the same time?

Please help out Admins !! :ohyeah::P:ohyeah:

Well any guest OS and VM software lets say VM Ware, you have the freedom to use anything. As far as my knowledge about VMs is concerned, VMware doesn't do anything related as such, also considering the fact that I am a perfect noob to VMware I might be wrong!

Yes it's possible you need to get separate PCI addon cards having PS/2+USB+VGA. They're a lot of pages on it google for it. But there's a limit on the number of VM environtments(3-6).

Let me depict this in an example:
I have one Scanner connected via USB. I want this scanner to give input to all the VM's that the USB has drivers to. (Yes Scanner is installed and working properly in all the VM's)

Links would help! Thanks a million @aman.pitbull :hap2::D gave me a little knowledge I'd like to implement on a powerful old rig ;)
