Laptops Questions About DELL extended warranty.

hi!

i have decided to buy the dell vostro 1320 @ 52thousand rs. with the following config::

p8600@ 2.4ghz and 1066mhz fsb

4gb of ram

nvidia 9300gs 256mb

320gb harddrive

and the other usual stuff

by default i get 1 year complete cover

dell would charge me 13thousand rs for 3 years of complete cover----IS IT WORTH PAYING THAT MUCH???

and is the 3 year extended warranty necessary??---dell said they would replace the entire machine at no extra cost with a brand new machine with whtever config they have then with the same model

i would be traveling a lot so the risk of damage is high-----mumbai local trains.

should i go for the 3year extended warranty?

First of all Super Choice mate. Pretty Nice config you got there.

And About warranty, I would say it's like insurance.

If you have it, you are always in advantage. I would say if you can afford, buy it. Coz in 80% of the laptops, issues start occurring after 2 years, whether small or huge.

Otherwise take 2 years of extended warranty (Total 3 years 1 standard+2 extended), Coz after using your laptop for 3 years you would definitely wanna change to something new IMHO.
