Hello,
I intend to buy a racing wheel in the very near future. ( Maybe in one week or so ). I am ready to spend upto 8k. So G25 is out of the question. :). I have never owned one before so I don't know what to expect.

Logitech Driving Force GT seems pretty good with 900 degree rotation and good force feedback. It is available from Amarbir for around 8k.

Or is something like the Logitech Momo or Logitech Formula better? Is 900 degree all that overrated??

Are there any other good options in this range?

The DFGT is the best choice for 8k.

900 degrees of rotation is not overrated at all, but it really depends on the games you will be using the wheel with. If it's arcade racers, then getting a wheel with 900 degrees (or any wheel at all for that matter) is a waste.
On the other hand if it's sims like GTR or LFS, then that extra amount of sheer precision will be a godsend keeping you from losing too much speed to tyre scrub caused by clumsy steering techniques.

Logitech DF GT is worth it.
Its compatible with PC, PS2 & PS3.
I found compatibility issues with one game on the PC (Burnout Paradise), maybe latest drivers have it sorted out.
Some buttons do not work on the PS2 and for some reason the PS2 does not recognize the full 900 degrees of rotation as well.
Works as promised on the PS3.

DFGT is a great wheel for very serious simulation racing. But please check the wheel before you buy it. IT may turn out to be non-linear/unsuitable.

Amarbir has got DFGT for rs7500.

PS: A seller on TE market section is asking 6500 for a barely used 1 month old DFGT. YOu can negotiate a deal with him if you want.

Another great option: Logitech Momo, but its EOL, so its very hard to find.

Well I am interested in trying out some sim-style racers .. i haven't been able to get into them much since keyboard driving sucks in those games ( ex. GRID ).

And thanks for that call on the Market deal. I will check it out.
