Railwire now available in Kanchipuram(Tamil nadu)

Just confirmed its available all over kanchipuram town most of the cyber cafe has switched to railwire here....they have nearly 200 customers now and they are expanding their infrastructure rapidly all across kanchipuram ....they are presently laying OFC near collector's office and they said it will take a month to get all the cables laid to my brothers house 400 mts from that point ....they say if i can rope in 3 customers they will do the installation in a week

Just look at their UL plans 2 mbps at 1450 and 4 mbps at nearly 2K

The speeds are great i have tested the 2Mbps connection but the service is Patchy is what i hear but then thats a given here with ISP's in this town be it BSNL/WI5/Failtel i have been with them all and failtel was the worst as the franchise that runs it are worse than any sarkari babus

.Also its too soon to tell anything as they have only given connection to like 200 homes only but they mostly have captured most of the internet cafes in the town .

It looks like they bring the fibre optic cable straight to your house thats what the guy told me.

^^Its not direct the guy provides cable tv and he has taken up this internet buisness only recently .Failtel is going to be history in this town in the next 1 or 2 yrs lol.

sam000 why do you call Railtel/failtel ? Coming to the fora after quite some time.
