So, i currently have an intel 10gen cpu on h510 platform with a single corsair 8gb ddr 2133 mhz ram which i've overclocked to 2666 using the auto overlock feature in the bios.
I am looking to upgrade the ram to 16gb and was wondering if i add a gskill ram of 3200 mhz, would it have any issues? Would both the rams run at 2133 speed or can i still run them at 2666mhz ? The max frequency that my processor supports is 2666mhz.

It would probably work fine at 2133MHz. But since they are very different modules, Auto OC could lead to stability issues if at all it works. If you’re planning on overclocking manually or with XMP get matching RAM modules as a kit.
 
The 3200 Mhz RAM will run at 2666 Mhz. You may have to clear CMOS and manually set speed again after installing the second stick of RAM. However, if you want to increase RAM, it is better to buy 2133 Mhz or 2666 Mhz RAM as they will be cheaper compared to 3200 Mhz RAM.

The answer is you will be able to have both sticks operate at 2666mhz with a bit of tweaking here and there in the timings. Your exisiting stick will be overclocked ofcourse(2666 is a very mild overclock, i have taken several 2133 sticks to as high as 3000mhz stable with 1.35volts). It will work.

There are thousands of memory kits if not more sold by different manufacturers all over the world. Think like android phones, countless models. It is not possible for a motherboard maker to test and validate against all of them. So don't stress on it, it will work 99.99% of times.

Due to large number of models, it is not possible for motherboard manufacturers to check each and every RAM. It does not mean other RAM will not work. It just means that the ones in the list are guaranteed to work.
