N Nikhil Forerunner Apr 4, 2006 #2 For AMD, DDR only. And as of now, DDR3 is not yet available in retail and for your system RAM. DDR3 is only used on Video cards . And there is no DDR4/5/6 RAM :rofl: :rofl:

zhopudey Galvanizer Apr 4, 2006 #5 The upcoming amd socket AM2 will support ddr2 ram. Its expected to be out by June. Edit: - Just read in your other thread. If you're planning to go for dual optys, keep in mind these require ECC ram. Very expensive.
