got a noobish dobut

is it possible to use ram sticks of two diffent brands ??
i already had 2 gb of crucial ballistix ram ..nd m plannin to get 2 more
but crucial is not found in indian market ..

so i wass planning to get 2 more of crosiar or transcend

Yes its possible as long as you match memory speeds and timings

sure dude...u can use diff brands no doubt...but as crazy ed said pay special attention to the clock rates...suppose u have ddr2 800 and buy a 667 one ur whole ram sub system will be forced to work at the lower 667 speed..

also pay special attention to the latencies....
