Ok so this might be a stupid question but bear with me.
I have this motherboard.
Gigabyte GA-G41M-Combo --http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3505#sp
And I have a C2D E6700 Processor with it.
Now I wanna build a new PC sometime next year so for the moment I just want to shove some RAM in it that will give me some breathing room.
The mobo lists DDR3 RAM as compatible. So obviously I am thinking of getting that as its easier to find and cheaper, plus I can take that RAM to my next PC. 2 sticks of 2GB each.
Is there any compatibility issue I should know of? DDR3 RAM will work on the mobo without problems right?
Is there anything else I should know before buying RAM? Does frequency make a big difference?
