As the topic suggests, this is regarding upgrading RAM's in my Laptop the configuration of which is :
Intel GM 965 Chipset
160 GB HDD
C2D T5450 1.66 GHz (667 MHz FSB, 2 MB Cache)
1 GB RAM (677 MHz) -- Upgraded to 2 GB ( 2 * 1 GB DDR2)
The laptop came with Vista Home Basic but i formatted it to XP Professional... I have just installed Windows 7 Ultimate (64 Bit) on it and I am thinking about upgrading to 3 maybe 4 GB RAM...
Now the problem is since the Chipset is 965GM which supports 4 GB in Dual channel but I have read a few reviews that the Laptop doesn't support more than 2 GB of RAM.....
Should I try upgrading the RAM to 3 GB ??? I am confused...
