Laptops RAM upgrade for Laptop

Hi,

I plan to upgrade my laptop ram from current 1 GB to 2 GB. :D

I'm trying to get one from either US or UK as found the prices quite low there.

Please guide me on how and where to get it from.

BTW my config is a Dell Inspiron

Core Duo T 2300
1GB RAM
80GB SATA HDD 7200 RPM
Ati X1400 256MB
15.4"

I run Vista Ultimate on my laptop and so feel the ram is little low for the games. Though it was quite okay in XP so m thinking to upgrade it.

BTW why is the RAM in those links so cheap ??
Are they fake ?

When i checked it in Delhi, it was about Rs 3500 for 1GB laptop ram 533Mhz.

Can u please let me know, how much will it cost me there in chennai and its brand, warranty etc.
If this be the case then in my opinion a much intelligent decision will be buy from here even if it costs abt 500 to 1k extra than in US
 
last i checked, Transcend 1 GB DDR2 533 was down to 1.9K ...667 should be arnd the same price...laptop Ram prices have dropped quite a bit recently so you may want to check agan in delhi too (Nehru Place)

BTW i was wondering why is there so much difference in prices of RAM of the same company ?
Some model selling for $35 while some other of same company and same speed at $50 or $60 !! :huh:

BTW my processor is T2300 so i think 667Mhz is not needed for it. Am i right ?

And what is this different voltages in different ram ? Will there be an issue due to it after i get a RAM ?
