PC Peripherals Ram?

I am a in a bit of confusion. Should I choose 1 GB DDR @ 400 or 512 MB DDR2? I am totally confused. I dont have any idea of RAM. If I am getting DDR2, then what clockspeed? I will be using my comp mainly for Games, Photoshop, and some video editing.

Using DDR or DDR2 entirely depends on what system you are using. A system designed for DDR2 , can accept only DDR2 modules and not DDR. So please tell us what your system configuration is?

Yeah, DDR2 is only for newer Intel mobo's (915, 925, 945, 955)...

Whereas older Intel mobo (865, 875) and all AMD systems use DDR RAM...

well...some 915 boards can take DDR and DDR2....but yea, doubt you have a board like that...
