Range of Wireless Router!

all network gurus I plan to purchase a Netgear WGR614 wireless router . Would the range extend to multiple floors (ground floor to first floor)

ill be installing a Netgear WG311 pci adapter on my pc (on the first floor)
the router is onthe ground floor

NOTE the rooms are directly above each other

ya, it would work pretty much...

for vertical range, just flip your routers' antenna parallel to the ground (at the cost of horizontal range)

be aware though that the range limiting factor for most casesis the tx power and capabilities of the laptop/client devices' wireless card
