Rasdial not dialing

hey guys wen i use the command "rasdial connection username pass" It doesnot dial..tried through command prompt and bat file..
when i use connect to network applet of vista and connect it has no problem in cnnecting..
username and password is correct..
Also, it can properly disconnect using the "rasdial /disconnect" command..
I dont usnderstand wats the problem here..There is no output..jus blank line in between and normal prompt appears..:@
It used to work lik a charm before but now since last week no go..:@
The problem is ONLY WITH THE DIALING..everything else is normal and proper..

not sure, but maybe UAC is blocking it? try opening an "elevated" (admin) command prompt then running the command...
 
I did try that and almost everything else like running it from the prompt ie. run the command prompt and THEN running the command by typing..

Tried running as Administrator..tried it wen disconnected , wen connected updated windows and all..
no go..

so searched and got and alternative command line utility rdialpro..works the same way, and also kept it in system32 folder..30days trial..till then wil surely format vista..
