I have been nagging Gulbir of Prime for some time now about doing something about the Rashi RMA problem and today I have received an email from him wherein he gives his terms for helping with RMA's for Rashi products .....

1. We need a purchase proof bought with each product. Only products bought from prime will be serviced.

2. Communication for Rma will be by mail only at rma [at] primeabgb.com which will be the mail id to be in touch.

3. Replacement or repair will be given in 7 working days. In case we are not able a standby will be provided.

4. In case the product gets outdated we will try our best and get the product upgraded with a new product.

5. Incase the customer has a complaint he can reach me on gulbir [at] primeabgb.com .

6. Please keep in mind that we want to give service hence are putting these terms live. There maybe stray cases of dissatisfaction which if ever do happen will be attended to with priority.

thats a gr8 stuff sirjee but i guess this topics should be shifted to peripherals section as purchasers check that section mostly

When i last met Gulbir we had chatted about the feasibility of such a prompt replacement scheme for all of the products sold at prime. I good to see that it's been implemented (atleast partially in this case) finally. Thanks for the heads up Eazy. :)

SMC is also something similar from a long time though they dont give in stand by products , their RMA - via rashi is pretty quick .

Edited Eazy's post so that Gulbir and the RMA department gets bombarded with spam emails

replace the [at] with @ for the email address

It's an irony that a service provider's (=Rashi's) lack of service is giving birth to new service areas !!!

Kudos to Prime for this initiative and for other members of TE who contributed in one way for the other for this. I am sure that Prime would earn a lot more business because of this offer of theirs.

shouldn't this thread be stickied or something? i din't even know such stuff existed until someone linked me to this on another thread.

^^^yup this should be....mumbai peeps should be very pleased with this....and as 200mph said, in Delhi there is SMC which provides gud service for rashi products(which i have seen personally)

I get a feeling if you have bought a product imported by Rashi from some other source and you ask Gulbir nicely enough, he may accept it for an RMA (possibly with a nominal charge).

This has NOT been confirmed to me, but I think Gulbir may just do it, please dont tell him I suggested you do this. :ohyeah:

well, its all upto the dealer to be honest. Guys like Gulbir, anish have enough pulling power with Rashi to make sure their customers gets quick replacement / repairs. But they usually dont touch the products purchased from someone else. It depends on who is asking as well :P
