I'm torn between getting raspberry pi hq camera and microscope camera, it's because I ordered a 100X lens without knowing about cs mount and other camera stuff. I just bought a cheap 5mp raspberry pi camera thinking it would suffice but it's needs cs mount along with correct focal distance. I later 3d printed CS mount with no avail since camera is way too small for the lens so the observed image is a tiny dot. I want to repair electronics as a hobby so microscope is a necessity. My heart says raspberry pi hq camera as I already have few raspberry pi laying around so which one should I get. There are also alternatives to raspberry pi hq camera which are cheaper, let me know which ones are viable.
