Rate the Last Movie You Saw...

The Departed - 6/10

Looking at the cast, I was expecting more. It's fast paced alright but borders on the abrupt at times. But this has got me interested in watching "Infernal Affairs".

Pros: Fast paced, ensemble cast, perennially edgy Dicaprio, soundtrack
Cons: Many actors underutilized, Nicholson's part seems overdone

Jhoota Hi Sahi - 6/10

Picked this for a watch since needed to clear some space from the HDD and was surprised by its believable (for the most part) script and acting. I always like watching a believable/rooted romance flick and would have given this one a higher rating if not for the stupid needless songs and utterly nonsensical climax.

Pros: Realistic start and mid parts, nice humor, genuine performances from all involved
Cons: Songs, climax

North by northwest has a great story and was ahead of its time in many creative aspects which were later used by many directors in their movies. So for some of us watching it now would not bring out the uniqueness it has.

I think Hitchcock was himself ahead in time, one of greatest directors. NBN is not at all highly rated, it deserves that.

The Bourne Trilogy - 8/10

Would rate the first two 7/10 but the last one was simply fabulous; wouldn't mind rating it 9/10. There is fast paced and there is the abrupt/hashed; this trilogy got it right for the most part. Matt Damon does superb justice to the part. No wonder people behind Bond were inspired by this series as they went about rebooting the former.

Pros: Fast paced, superb hand to hand combat sequences, soundtrack, Matt Damon
Cons: Can't really think of one!

Can anybody tell if Legacy is worth watching? I'm not too keen on it especially after enjoying Damon and company so much.

Skyfall - 7/10

Good recovery from the disappointment that was QoS. Continues in the raw action vein of Casino Royale, although the latter is still my favorite of the three.

Pros: Daniel Craig, fantastic action sequences, Bardem was good, Ralph Feinnes, direction
Cons: Forgettable Bond girls

Killer Elite - 5/10

Average action flick with Statham in the lead. Timepass stuff. De Niro is wasted!

Yups...a true classic. What you thought of the opening scene..? Could you fine the similarities to Sholay.

You seen the Man with No Name Trilogy..?

I didn't find any kind of similarity with Sholay. The opening scene creates the suspense and interest. Although what really surprised me was the attention to the details and how close the scenes were to the reality of the supposed timeline of the story. I watched 12 Angry men yesterday and after today I'm already a fan of Henry Fonda.

I haven't watched the Man with No Name trilogy - actually I don't think I have watched any Eastwood movie. But I plan to watch them.

The slaughter scene (family) is quite similar. And also when the young child is killed, the gun is pointed to the face and the trigger is pressed, and next scene you see steam coming out of a train engine...! Both movies have exactly this....! Scene-2-scene. LOL.

For a Few Dollars More (one of the best opening scenes with Lee Van Cleef), A Fistful of Dollars (originally copied from Yojimbo, and subsequently copied by Last Man Standing), and Good Bad Ugly (final draw sequence is lovely) are all stellar. Plus the villain from the first two movies is quite similar to Gabbar Singh. These three movies are the epitome for gun-draws and the intensity of "death". Watch them. They are delightful. Clint Eastwood will move to another scale for you. As well as the glamorous and rustic gun-slingers were glorified and made to look so "handsome". With the spurs and dual gun belts. No one has done Westerns as well.

Pacific Rim - 7/10 Loved everything except the fact that the emotional connect was missing. I couldn't feel any sort of sadness/hope even in the lead character's moments of despair. Apart from that it was a freaking joyride. Transformer bots are like toys to me now. The special effects and the cinematography was amazing.

The Wolverine - 8.5/10

Excellent comic-book adaptation! Jackman kicks ass!

Icicng on the cake - the sequence post credits. Do NOT miss out on that!

I didn't like that there wasn't a good story line. However this was a filler movie.

The next one is gonna be awesome with time travel and what not and 2 Magnetos and 2 Proffesor X.:D
